Assistant Director of Intellectual Property (Advisory)

• To oversee the provision of civil legal advisory service on intellectual property matters to government departments and bureaux.

• To identify the civil intellectual property issues raised in requests from government departments and bureaux.

• To provide specialist civil legal opinions on intellectual property to government departments and bureaux.

• To advise on the development of registrable public international intellectual property standards and norms, and private international intellectual property issues, principles, rules, processes and practice.

• To monitor international and regional intellectual property capacity building matters.
  

• To make recommendation on the position/stance that Hong Kong should take in relation to international intellectual property issues.

• To oversee liaison with IP authorities in the Mainland.
