• monitor and provide intellectual property civil legal advisory service to government departments and bureaux

• assist in advising on the development of registrable public international intellectual property standards and norms, and private international intellectual property issues, principles, rules, processes and practice

• assist in monitoring international and regional intellectual property capacity building matters; recommend Hong Kong's position on international and cross-border issues
