IP Tutor Programme in Schools

Charged with the responsibility of promoting awareness and respect for intellectual property (IP) rights in Hong Kong, the Intellectual Property Department (IPD) launched the ˇ§IP Tutor Programme in Schoolsˇ¨. Under the programme, a group of qualified teachers has been recruited and, after receiving intensive training on IP, assigned to teach the subject to Form One students in those schools which have enrolled in the scheme. Each course consists of four lessons for each class. The teaching materials are based on the resources posted on the ˇ§IP Interactive Zoneˇ¨ at http://www.ip-kids.gov.hk. A learning guidebook - ˇ§Letˇ¦s Protect Intellectual Propertyˇ¨ can also be used as supplementary teaching material.

The Hong Kong Professional Teachersˇ¦ Union has kindly agreed to be our co-organiser.

This Programme has been launched in February and October 2005, March 2007 and 2008
