We need to work together to support genuine goods. That'll help Hong Kong's economy as well as improving our international image. If you never buy or use pirated or counterfeit goods, we sincerely hope you'll join the "I Pledge" campaign. Everyone's welcome, whatever your age, sex or occupation. If we come together, our forces will be strong and our voice speaking our against piracy and counterfeiting will be louder. Please don't hold back.
Take the initiative, get your whole family and all your friends to join us to sign up as responsible consumers.
Objectives:
- To encourage a sense of pride among consumers who refuse to buy pirated and counterfeit goods;
- To promote awareness of intellectual property rights and respects for the rights of others; and
- To bring the community together to show Hong Kong's commitment on anti-piracy and anti-counterfeiting.
Participant's Obligations:
- I pledge never to get involved in Internet piracy activities;
- I pledge never to purchase or use pirated and counterfeit goods;
- I pledge to respect the intellectual property rights of others ; and
- I pledge to support and participate in anti-piracy and anti-counterfeiting activities.

To support local original music, promote respect intellectual property and boost Hong Kong music culture with the power of the Internet, Intellectual Property Department, The Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong and YouTube jointly organised "I Pledge" Live Band Festival on 13 October 2012 at Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza, Tsim Sha Tsui.

Every year on April 26, World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and its Member States celebrate World Intellectual Property Day (World IP Day) in order to promote discussion of the role of intellectual property (IP) in encouraging innovation and creativity. To welcome and celebrate the World IP Day, Intellectual Property Department and The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups will co-organise World Intellectual Property Day “I Pledge” Original Movies and Music at Piazza C, Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Tsim Sha Tsui on 25 April 2014. Through workshops and live music performance, the event aims to encourage creativity and the development of original movies and music as well as to promote intellectual property protection.

Organised by the Intellectual Property Department and Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong, co-organised by Wan Chai District Council, “Creativity‧Infinity” event will be held at Causeway Bay pedestrian zone on 5 November 2017 (Sunday). The event aims to provide a platform for young people to share and exchange their creative ideas, stimulate their imagination and creativity, encourage them to create every possibility in their daily lives, as well as to raise their awareness on intellectual property protection.
With a view to establishing a closer link between creativity and the community, this “Creativity‧Infinity” large scale street event consists of product showcase, interactive and game experience, fashion and music performances. The products include product design, 3D printing figures, innovation and technology inventions etc.; Interactive and Game Experience Zones will include sign-translation gloves, underwater robotics, interactive robots, AR game, VR game and coding workshop etc. which allow the general public to experience the joy brought by creativity; acoustic music performance will also offer the audience a totally refreshing experience.
To boldly break the limits of imagination, home-grown typeface design will crossover local young fashion designer, combining remarkable dance choreography and classic music, to demonstrate chic and stunning fashion shows.

“I Pledge” Members now get a chance to ride the observation wheel for FREE and enjoy the creative workshops and activities supported by CityU Apps Lab, Design for Change Hong Kong, Hong Kong Comics and Animation Federation, Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, Hong Kong Internet & eCommerce Association and Institution of Mechanical Engineers Hong Kong Branch. It will not only be a great chance to enjoy the stunning harbour view, but also to unleash your creativity and create your works! You could also enjoy the terrific stage performances and various challenging games and get a chance to receive souvenirs.
