The chapters on “Evidence” , “Hearings”  and “Computation of time for service of documents etc. between parties” have been revised to –

  1. provide for the filing of electronic records of evidence (statutory declarations or affidavits) and hearings-related documents (copies of authorities, skeleton arguments, written submissions and hearing bundles) via IPD’s Electronic Filing System;
  2. provide details on the authentication requirements for electronic records of affidavits, statutory declarations and notarial instruments;
  3. provide guidance on manner and format for electronic records of documents; and
  4. make various miscellaneous textual amendments.

The chapters on “Classification” and “Cross search list” have been revised due to the adoption of the 2026 version of the thirteenth edition of the Nice Classification with effect from 1 January 2026.

For the chapter on “Classification”, the revision also includes miscellaneous textual revisions.

For the chapter on “Cross search list”, the revision also includes the removal of cross searching of certain goods that have been reclassified.
